Bella Arley was born at Pierson on August 29, 1885, the eldest
daughter of twelve.
During her teen years she did practical and home nursing for mothers of newborn
babies. She also took up sewing from an aunt in Morden, Manitoba
Bella married William A. Lang in Melita, Manitoba on October 12, 1911. They
moved to Vancouver and Seattle, Washington where Agnes Irene was born in 1912. They later moved back
to Napinka, Manitoba where they farmed for several years. James Allen Francis was born in 1915, and
Selina Alice in 1917.
In 1934 Bella moved to Winnipeg where she resided until her death in July 1976.
